What do we mean by community archives?
  • This is a resource and framework for sharing information about the Reel Asian community. Instead of a site of preservation, we want to focus on sharing information and education around Reel Asian’s history, the community that makes it, and a wayfinder for other resources that make up the web of our community.

How long will this archive be available?
  • This is a special year-long initiative activated to celebrate the festival’s 30th year. Currently, we have committed to maintaining online access to the depository for five years (until the end of 2030) before revisiting how to continue to offer it as a resource.

Can I submit more than one file?
  • Absolutely. If you are submitting more than 10 files, please reach out to us directly for a more substantial conversation.

Is there any way to access special physical records in this archive?
  • Offline on-site materials can be accessed in person during archive pop ups, workshops and events. Please follow @rarara.ca and the Reel Asian Newsletter to be updated on when these will happen.

Can I remove a record from the archive?
